Frequently Asked Questions

Is waxing painful?
Waxing is unfortunately not entirely pain free, however the discomfort only lasts for the moment the hair is pulled from your body. Imagine it like taking off a plaster. Plus, we will keep you distracted so you won't even think about it. The comment most people make after their first time is: "Wow, it really wasn't as bad as I imagined!"

So please don't believe in horror stories, you are in good hands!

Waxing gets less and less painful the more you do it so don't make the mistake of shaving in between because your next wax will hurt as much as it did the first time.

In case you are still doubtful:  we can get started with a little area first to ease you into it and we have some wonderful breathing techniques that work wonders!

 Some vocabulary

A Bikini wax basically "tidies up the area". So we will remove hair that would usually show when wearing underwear or a bathing suit. 2 fingers on your leg and one finger towards your private area.

A Brazilian wax removes all hair in your private area (the labia, and between the cheeks as well) and leaves a little strip or triangle in the front. The Brazilian covers everything within the slip line plus two fingers next to it.

A Hollywood wax is similar to a Brazilian wax with the only difference that there won't be any hair left in the front (or anywhere else).

What can I do to prepare?

Make sure the area is clean and that the hair is at least 5mm long, which equals approximately 2 weeks of not shaving.

In case you think your hair might be too long, we appreciate a bit of a trim. for the best result the hair should be between 5mm and 1,5cm.

If the hair is too long it can break off during waxing and it can also be more painful.
